Terms of use
Adopt-a-Paw · Last updated 7 October 2026
Adopt-a-Paw is run by THE PET WELLBEING COMPANY PTY LTD (ABN 13 673 319 652) in Australia. By using the app you agree to these terms. You must be 16 or over.
What the app is
Adopt-a-Paw introduces rescue animals to people who might take them home. We are not a rescue and we do not rehome animals. Every animal is listed by the rescue or shelter holding it, and every decision about who takes an animal is theirs. We do not check a rescue’s claims for you and we are not party to anything you agree with one.
Accounts
You can look without an account. One is needed to keep an animal, to apply, or to run a rescue. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
Listing an animal
List only animals genuinely in your care, with photographs you have the right to use, and describe them honestly — including anything a person needs to know before taking them on. No selling of animals. No offensive, unlawful or misleading content. We may remove any listing or account that breaks these terms.
Applying
Answer honestly. A rescue decides whether to accept you and may ask for more. Meet in safe, public places, and take the usual care you would with any stranger.
Reporting and blocking
You can report a listing or a conversation and block a person. We review reports and remove content that breaks these terms.
Shelter Pro
Shelter Pro is a subscription for rescues, sold through the App Store or Google Play, and renews until you cancel it there. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Adopters never pay.
Funding meals for street animals
A published share of revenue funds meals for street animals through One Tail One Meal. That share comes out of our revenue: you pay only the price of your subscription.
Liability
We provide the app “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
