Track-a-Paw · Last updated 29 September 2026
Track-a-Paw is run by THE PET WELLBEING COMPANY PTY LTD (ABN 13 673 319 652) in Australia (“we”). It helps people find lost pets and reunite found ones. Questions: support@spot-a-paw.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and optional display name. One a-Paw account works in all our apps.
- Alerts you post: the pet's name, species, description and photo, when and roughly where it was seen.
- Location: while the app is open, to show alerts near you and to place your alert. Alerts, sightings and areas you watch are stored rounded to an area; your exact position and your home are never shown to anyone.
- Messages: what you and a finder or owner write to each other in the app. Your phone number and email are never shown.
- QR tags: which tag belongs to which pet, the note you set for finders, and when a tag is scanned (with the rounded area, if the finder shares it).
- Purchases: whether you have Protect, handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
- Device: a notification ID so alerts reach your phone.
What other people see
An active alert is public: its photo, description, rounded area and time can be seen by anyone using Track-a-Paw or opening a shared poster. When you mark a pet as home, the alert stops showing.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to show and share alerts, pass messages, run QR tags, and provide support. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase (database, files and sign-in; stored in Sydney, Australia)
- OneSignal (notifications), RevenueCat, Apple and Google (subscriptions)
- OpenStreetMap (map tiles)
Reporting and blocking
You can report an alert, a photo or a message, and block a person. We review reports and remove content that breaks the terms.
Deleting your data
In the app: Account → Delete account. This deletes your account, alerts, sightings, messages and tags in every a-Paw app. You can also email us.
Children
Track-a-Paw is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
